Dr. Buttar has been practicing small animal medicine since 1998, and in the Bay Area since 2006. Before coming to the Bay area, Dr. Buttar worked in Michigan, Canada, and India. Dr. Buttar believes that there is always a need for a place where cat lovers and their cats will be treated with compassion, expertise, and gentle care. Dr. Buttar’s goal is to provide a cat clinic where people and their cats aren’t rushed, and receive special, personalized attention — this is something that he continues to strive toward. Dr. Buttar is a member of SFVMA, CVMA and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Dr. Buttar is married and has a daughter, a cat, and a dog.

Grace Carter

Dr. Carter grew up on a farm in Illinois with many cats, dogs, and other farm animals. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in biochemistry, she headed to the San Francisco bay area to work in the biotechnology industry. After a few years, Dr. Carter was off to UC Davis to study veterinary medicine. After graduating, she worked at a feline-exclusive practice in the Sacramento area. Dr. Carter is happy to be back in the bay area, along with her kitties.

Lindsay Wilson

Dr. Lindsay Wilson is a veterinary graduate of Ohio State University and a native of Pittsburgh, PA, who is now proud to call the Bay Area home. Her professional interests include all things feline with a special focus on preventive care and dentistry. She is the proud pet-parent of a grey tabby cat named Helena and a paint horse named Jak. When not at the hospital Lindsay enjoys gardening, horseback riding and exploring the great outdoors of California.

Bill Rivers

We are very pleased to have Dr. Bill Rivers as our consulting radiologist. Dr. Rivers graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984 and, after an internship with Dr. Steven Ettinger in Los Angeles the following year, he practiced general small animal medicine in the San Francisco Bay Area for several years. Dr. Rivers then completed specialty training and a PhD in Radiology from the University of Minnesota. He became board-certified as a specialist in Veterinary Radiology by the American College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. After being on staff at two veterinary schools and a private specialty practice, he established his Bay Area Consulting practice in 1989. Dr. Rivers performs the more complicated ultrasound examinations on our patients and helps us interpret our more complicated x-ray studies on our patients. His extensive training and experience helps us to provide the highest level of care for our patients.
